having Twins! Story
DH
had been teasing me since we found out I was pregnant about having twins . . .
The day I found out he kissed and rubbed my belly saying bye to the twins. I
told him if he jinxed me I was going to kill him, lol.
I went to work as usual and waited for my OB appointment. It was my first one
and I was excited, hoping that I'd get a peek at the baby. I was 11 weeks along
(already in maternity clothes) and sure enough, my OB said we were going to have
a look via the u/s machine just to estimate how far along I was because my
uterus was measuring at 17 weeks instead of 11. She was really quiet for a few
moments then said, "Oh . . . wow." I automatically thought something was wrong
and started panicking . . . She turned the monitor towards me and told me to
tell her what I saw. I was in complete shock as I saw two perfectly formed
babies kicking around. I exclaimed, "TWINS?!" and she said, "Yes.
Congratulations!"
After my appointment I ran back to my desk (I worked in the hospital) and called
DH to tell him the news. He was so excited telling me, "I told you so!" I then
called my mother and told her the news . . . It took me about 20 minutes to
convince her I wasn't just teasing her and was really expecting twins. We were
all so excited. I was ecstatic even though I had told DH I was going to kill him
if jinxed me. I had secretly hoped he would be right . . . But didn't tell him
that.
