Amanda's
having Twins! Story
The
day we found out:
I had called and set up a doctor's appointment as soon as I got my positive
test, which was around six weeks. We had just had a m/c a month prior and I was
anxious to get in to make sure that everything looked good at this point. My
doctor came in and did an internal u/s. He was very quiet and my heart was
racing because, of course, I thought something was wrong...again. He turned the
screen toward me and said, "Well, I'm seeing two sacs. Here's one right here -
here's the heartbeat. And here's the other one - and here's the heartbeat." I
looked over at my DH sitting in the chair and his eyes were HUGE!!! I, of
course, was crying. I said, "Are you kidding?!?!" He laughed and said that he
wasn't. He said that both sacs looked very viable and seemed to be growing right
on track. He took a picture of each baby and wrote on it "Congrats - There's two
hearts!" and that's how we told everyone. I don't think I've ever had that
feeling of "floating on cloud 9" like I did that day...
